It was likely intentionally set by arson and climbed our northeast hill within minutes forcing us to leave everything and evacuate. The fire started on Ian's birthday the 21st and ODF is still on our land mopping up small fires. Thankfully we did extensive underbrush fire prep. work about 2 years ago right where the fire hit, which likely slowed the fire to the point where they could safely stage at our house and save it. Everyone got out in time and we only lost about 12-15 acres of forest. Small price to pay.
